Shanna Jones began her journey in the photographic industry in 1988, when she first learned how to use a camera and develop the film in the dark room as part of her role on her High School yearbook committee. She continued her love for photography as an enthusiastic hobbyist until she started her own full time photography business in 2008.
Shanna joined the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) in 2009 and became an accredited member in 2010. She then went on to receive her associate designation with the AIPP in 2012. In 2011, Shanna was nominated to be a part of her local council with the AIPP. In 2012, Shanna was nominated as Vice President for the council and then in 2013 was elected as President. She remained President for six months until she moved from Canberra to Melbourne. Not long after she arrived in Melbourne, she was co-opted onto the Victorian State Council. Shanna has worked tirelessly to help run the council in her state and is a passionate advocate for the AIPP.
Shanna has won numerous awards, been a part of several exhibitions, and has been featured in local magazines. She produced and published an international selling pin-up calendar for 2012, which sold to five different countries around the world. She also released a boudoir calendar in 2013, which sold worldwide again. Shanna was the official photographer for the Miss Pinup Australia competition in her state in 2012.
Shanna's most recent achievement was being named the 2013 Australian Family Photographer of the Year Finalist.
